FAQs
Will I look like I've had work done?
No, and that is the point. Our approach is conservative by default: we start with the smallest amount that will achieve what you came in for, and we would rather have you come back for a small adjustment than overcorrect. If you want a change nobody can name but everyone notices, say so at your consultation. That is the result most of our patients ask for.
Does it hurt?
Less than most people expect. Wrinkle relaxer injections use a very fine needle and take a few seconds per area; most patients describe a quick pinch. For fillers we apply a topical numbing cream first, and most filler products contain lidocaine, so the area numbs further as we work. Tell us if you are anxious about needles and we will slow down and talk you through each step.
How long does it take, and can I go back to work?
A wrinkle relaxer appointment usually runs about 15 to 30 minutes and filler about 30 to 60. Most people return to work or errands the same day. You may have small marks, mild swelling, or some tenderness at the injection sites. Bruising is possible and usually resolves within a few days. If you have an event coming up, book two weeks ahead so you have margin.
How long will it last?
Wrinkle relaxers typically last around three to four months, and results build in over the first one to two weeks rather than appearing instantly. Fillers last considerably longer, commonly six to eighteen months depending on the product and the area treated. Your metabolism, the area, and how much is used all affect the number, which is one of the things we will go over with you in person.
What does it cost, and how does the $100 work?
Pricing depends on what you are treating and how much it takes, so we will not quote you a number before we have seen you. You will get a clear price at your consultation and nothing gets done until you have agreed to it. The $100 is simple: fill out the form on this page, we email you a coupon, and you bring it to your first appointment. It applies to your first treatment with us.
I've never done this before and I don't know what I need.
That is the most common way people start. You do not need to arrive knowing what you want. Come in, tell us what bothers you when you look in the mirror, and we will tell you honestly what would help, what would not, and what we would leave alone. If the answer is that you do not need treatment yet, we will say that too.
What should I anticipate during my consultation?
Our priority is to understand you and your goals. Well review history, discuss your desired results, and create a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs.
When is the ideal age to begin using injectables?
At The Perfect Dose, we advocate for early prevention. Starting in our 20s, the bodys natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid diminishes, leading to reduced skin volume, hydration, and the onset of aging signs. Initiating injectables early can effectively counteract these aging indicators.
